I currently work and write copy for Tradeshift.com. Tradeshift is a B2B commerce company that connects supply chains with digital marketplaces, payments, and apps. Here’s an example of an onboarding email campaign I worked on. The goal is to use A/B testing to decide the best open and CTA click rates for our new customers to help them get started on the platform. We used a light and friendly tone to make the process look easy for potentially wary customers.
I used to write copy for FutureCommerce. The two hosts put on a lively show, and my challenge was to take their audio brand voice and translate it into a consistent tone and voice across their website.
Their professionally playful style helps them connect with the retail leaders listening to their show. My goal for their copy was to keep it informational for busy professionals, but interject levity through links and a friendly tone.
I got to influence the tone by distilling an hour long podcast into clear, crisp, and concise copy that's easily scannable for their audience.
I wrote and edited long form ebooks for the podcast. I worked with the creators to take a listed item of ideas and craft it into a vibrant text they feel comfortable presenting to their professional audience. Here's an example. This one doubled as audio content, hence the 1st person point of view.
